Welcome to Yepa, North Uganda

Yepa ,like most communities in the region , has been devastated by the Lord's Resistance Army insurgency for the last 20 years.

The situation reached critical in 2002 when over 12,000 children were abducted from the region, forcing the community to evacuate their homes and flea to government run Internal Displacement Camps.

8 years on, security has now returned to this part of Uganda sufficiently to allow the displaced communities to return to their now derelict buildings.

Food for the Hungry have been working alongside the Yepa community as they return, to help them rebuild their community.

The time is now right to start a Children's development program as one of the key building blocks in helping them to release their full potential.

With the help of supporters like you the community are working together to rebuild their home and overcome abject poverty; spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially.

There are 100 children from the community in need of sponsorship as part of the child development programme. Will you support them to release their potential?
