Food for the Hungry Kenya are running 13 community development programmes across the country today- impacting the lives of over 5,000 people.
As an organisation we have a history of working in Kenya which stretches back over thirty years.
Starting out in 1976 as predominantly a relief organisation our focus has shifted towards development and today we employ over 130 local people to carry out the work your support enables amongst extremely poor communities - particularly in the centre and north regions of the country.
A good example of an existing community transformation programme in action can be found less than 30 miles from Maisha Bora, in the village of Nkunga. Supported entirely by Highfield Church in Southampton since 2005, this community is being transformed today as you can read about here
