| Joseph and his Lucy are a married young couple who are always united despite the many challenges they undergo in life. They live in a small timber house which they have built on their small piece of land. This land is on a hill and very stony too. The couple has two children. 1 child in nursery and the other one is too young to go to school. The mother, Lucy takes the young child to school everyday and goes to take him back after school. She does all chores in the house while her husband, Kithure, cultivates in their land. Lucy has to travel quite far to fetch water which is a problem to almost every resident in Nkunga. Just like others, this couple doesn’t have enough food, good shelter, cannot cater for their drugs when sick and cannot afford for educating their young children. This is due to lack of permanent income generating activities and ideas on how to start some. Now that Kithure and Lucy have heard about FHI, they very much expect that FHI will assist them change their life and give them more ideas and skills on how to go about issues affecting their life which could change from present life style to a better lifestyle. |  |
